John was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 1978, and worked in Australia and Japan before coming to the UK.

He qualified in England in 1986, having trained at Denton Hall, and obtained a masters degree in international commercial law from the University of Bristol.

John joined Gisby Harrison in 1999 and heads our Corporate team. He thrives on negotiating merger, acquisition and refinancing deals and has a particular interest in helping unlisted private and public companies manage change.

John is member of Society for Computers and the Law, the American Bar Association, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the Southern Cross Group. He is regional solicitor to the Professional Cricketers' Association.
